Ezekiel 3:7-9“But it won’t work that way with the family of Israel. They won’t listen to you because they won’t listen to me. They are, as I said, a hard case, hardened in their sin. But I’ll make you as hard in your way as they are in theirs. I’ll make your face as hard as rock, harder than granite. Don’t let them intimidate you. Don’t be afraid of them, even though they’re a bunch of rebels.”There are some people who are set in their ways. They have their traditions. They have their own ideas of what is right. They feel that they can continue to do as they wish. They have no idea that they are turned away from God.In the face of that, God can make us sure. We trust in God and he builds in us a stubbornness to live God’s way and in God’s love. We don’t have to be afraid of what they say. We don’t have to worry that we will be brainwashed to their way of thinking. We trust in God and God alone.Lord, forgive me for my sins today. Help me to clearly see who you are and who I am in you. Don’t let me be too arrogant in my own self. Don’t let me be too intimidated by others. You made me to be yours. You made me for a purpose. Help me to fulfill that purpose today with grace and mercy toward others. Hold me tight to your side. You will never leave me. I will trust in you, Lord, and only you for the truth.
