Day 37 Feb 6 Jeremiah 42:11
Jeremiah 42:9-12He then spoke: “This is the Message from God, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your prayer. He says, ‘If you are ready to stick it out in this land, I will build you up and not drag you down, I will plant you and not pull you up like a weed. I feel deep compassion on account of the doom I have visited on you. You don’t have to fear the king of Babylon. Your fears are for nothing. I’m on your side, ready to save and deliver you from anything he might do. I’ll pour mercy on you. What’s more, he will show you mercy! He’ll let you come back to your very own land.’Some days this world and this life feels like I am not home. Things close in around me. The enemies crowd near to do me harm. Disappointments mount up. Uncertainties abound. Life is difficult. To move is nearly impossible. But God hears my prayers even if they are but my heart groaning. He feels compassion for me. He builds me up. He is on my side. He is ready to save me. He is ready to deliver me from the evil. He gives me favor with those in authority. They pour out mercy on me.Lord, forgive me of my sins. Cleanse my heart. Build up my heart. Send your strength and courage into my body, spirit, and soul. Get me ready for this day. Show me my next steps. Take my hand and lead me out. I will trust in you.
