Day 73 March 14 1 Chronicles 28:10

1 Chronicles 28:9-10“And you, Solomon my son, get to know well your father’s God; serve him with a whole heart and eager mind, for God examines every heart and sees through every motive.If you seek him, he’ll make sure you find him, but if you abandon him, he’ll leave you for good. Look sharp now! God has chosen you to build his holy house. Be brave, determined! And do it!”Solomon was told to serve God with his whole heart and with his eager mind. He was told that God examines every heart and sees through every motive. God can see to the very core of my motives, even when I am lying to myself. He knows the truth.God has said that he would never leave me, but I do not want to abandon him. I would make too many mistakes. I must be brave. I must be determined to do his will.Lord, forgive me of my sins today. Forgive me for trying to find my own way instead of following you. Show me your path again. Help me to step on it and not turn to the left or the right. Cleanse my heart of wrongdoing. Fill me with your righteousness.Lord, let me get to know you more. Let me feel your presence today. Examine my heart and my mind and purge my motives so that my desires are your desires.I seek you today and I know you are there. Do not let me abandon you even in little ways today. Override my tendency to be stubborn and sit in my corner. Bring people in my presence who need encouragement. Then fill my mouth with words for them.Fill me with your courage today. Fill me with your perseverance. Help me to be brave and determined. Take my hand and lead me out into this glorious day you have made.
