Deuteronomy 31:23Then God commanded Joshua son of Nun saying, “Be strong. Take courage. You will lead the People of Israel into the land I promised to give them. And I’ll be right there with you.”Be strong. Take courage. Joshua was charged with this command several times. Was he afraid? Was he too cautious? Did he not trust God? Did he look for other ways to accomplish his goals?Joshua was one of two men who saw the large inhabitants of the promised and was not afraid to take it. Yet God continually commanded him to be strong and courageous. How much more do I need to be told.Lord, forgive me for not trusting in you or your promises to me. Give me your strength today. Fill me with your courage. Help me to take your hand and step out into what you have for me today.Let your joy, love and peace well up in me today. Let them overflow my soul and pour into the lives of those around me. Fill me with your kindness and gentleness. Let my words be soft and healing to others and myself.Give me the grace and mercy to work tirelessly through this day. Let me seize every opportunity that you give me. Fill me with hope.
