I’ve found PostGopher to be an excellent plugin. It is paid but has been a steady source of new subscribers.

While the books below are currently recommended books, the world of the internet changes daily. These books are a good start and were checked in mid-year 2017. WordPress continually puts out updates to counteract the security breaches and the need for new features.
