Ephesians 2:16-18Christ brought us together through his death on the cross. The Cross got us to embrace, and that was the end of the hostility. Christ came and preached peace to you outsiders and peace to us insiders. He treated us as equals, and so made us equals. Through him we both share the same Spirit and have equal access to the Father.Us and them. It is so easy to seek to blame other people for how we live. We congregate in groups at an early age and it becomes us and them. But God does not allow us to judge each other. We are all equals. He made us equals. We all have the same access to the Father through the Spirit and through the sacrifice of the Son.Lord, please forgive me for judging other people. Forgive me for placing people in categories before I know them. Help me not to listen to hearsay but listen to your opinion of me. Let me hear your voice before I speak with my words or my actions. You brought us together through your death on the cross. You preach peace to us all. We are not us and them. We are all us.Fill me with your grace and your mercy. Fill me with your love and gentleness. Fill me with your peace and kindness. Let me be fully yours today.
