Exodus 33:14God said, “My presence will go with you. I’ll see the journey to the end.”Moses was the leader of the Israelites but only because God had given him that job. There were not very many moments for Moses when he was happy leading them. They complained and they questioned his authority. So Moses went to God and demanded to know what was going on.He told God, “If I am special to you, then tell me your plans. These are your people and your responsibility!”There are days when I feel a kinship with Moses. Why don’t I know what is going to happen? Just what is God’s plan here? Who will help me accomplish this?God’s answer was simple. I will be with you. I will see this to the end.Lord, please forgive me for not listening to you when you speak to me. Sometimes I am stubborn, willful and determined to be in a bad mood. I am too far into my “pity party” to let your sunshine into my heart.Forgive me for my willfulness and help me to open up to your joy, to your love, and to your peace. Fill me with your gentleness, your kindness and your incredible mercy.Help me to listen to you and move forward today with the plan that you have for me. Give me the strength and the courage to do what you have set before me today.
