Day 148 May 28 Romans 12:2

Romans 12:1-2So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. With God’s help, I will place my life before God as an offering. I will embrace what God does for me.I will fix my attention on God. He will change me from the inside out. It won’t always be noticed from the outside because of what he is changing on the inside may take some time to appear on the outside. But God will bring out the best in me and develop maturity in me.Lord, forgive me for not focusing on you completely. Forgive me when the cares and emergencies and immediacies of this world drown out your voice. Let me stop today and turn to you. Here is my life, Lord. Take this life that I live today and make it what you will. Provide me with patience, gentleness, kindness and your grace-giving, mercy-filled love.Help me not to be right as much as loving and truthful. Change me from the inside out. Help me to recognize what you want me to do today and then give me the strength and courage to do it.Bring out the best in me today and let me show the maturity you develop in me. Show me your joy today.
