Genesis 28:13-15Then God was right before him, saying, “I am God, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. I’m giving the ground on which you are sleeping to you and to your descendants.Your descendants will be as the dust of the Earth; they’ll stretch from west to east and from north to south. All the families of the Earth will bless themselves in you and your descendants.Yes. I’ll stay with you, I’ll protect you wherever you go, and I’ll bring you back to this very ground. I’ll stick with you until I’ve done everything I promised you.”Jacob left home. He wasn’t sure what was going to happen to him. He wasn’t sure if he would live through the next day.Sometimes I feel like I’m striking off on my own and I’m forging a new path. I also wonder if I’m making the right decisions and moving the the right direction.I need to hear from God too. I need to know that he will stay with me. He will protect me everywhere I go.Lord, forgive me today for not trusting in your leading. Help me to take your hand and follow you. Show me your presence in my life today. Let me know that you are here with me.Fill me with your love and your peace. Give me the strength to move forward today. Stop me if I’m moving in the wrong direction. And protect me as I walk through this day.
