Updated: February 17, 2025: It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since the start of the pandemic. While some things had gotten better, lately, things have turned for the worse.
We need to pray for protection and safety for ourselves, our families, our friends, and our neighbors. We also need to pray for our country and the countries around the world.
We are priests in Christ Jesus, and through Him and His righteousness, we intercede for His people and all creation.
We need strong words.
The 2020s have been years of strife, disaster, and violence. We’ve seen some amazing things and some horrific happenings. Some have lost all hope. Most of the world has turned its back on God, not understanding all that has occurred. We need strong words to move forward.
But Jesus has a mission for us even now.
We love Him and look to His face for guidance. We are His representatives. Let us pray to change our hearts and the hearts of those around us.
The Spirit of the Lord the Eternal One is on Me. Why? Because the Eternal designated Me to be His representative to the poor, to preach good news to them.
He sent Me to tell those who are held captive that they can now be set free,
and to tell the blind that they can now see.
He sent Me to liberate those held down by oppression.
In short, the Spirit is upon Me to proclaim that now is the time; this is the jubilee season of the Eternal One’s grace.
