My Rescuer, Psalm 38, and More

Psalm 38 I wait expectantly for You, O Eternal One

In some ways, I feel like I’ve been living Psalm 38. I hurt when I walk; I take supplements; I’m tired; I have so many things I want to do, and yet I know Whom I have believed. He is the great Healer. He cares for me. And He is always with me.

Sometimes I think I’m just lazy and don’t want to do anything, and then I realize I’m overwhelmed again. What did I volunteer to do? Is it too much? And usually the answer is yes.

So, now I pare down my schedule so that I can take care of myself, manage the house, and write. So, what about you? How are you doing?

The Seaside Mystery: Our Provider

I’m starting the twentieth chapter this week, which means I’m two-thirds of the way through it. I’m already thinking of part two and what I need to finish for that. Meanwhile, since my birthday is in the past, that means, gasp, the holidays! My daughter is going to do caroling at the boat parade three nights this year. We’ll take my mother-in-law with us for one night so she can experience it. We’ll take a chair for her to ride in.

But that’s still two months away, and I have time to write, unpack boxes, and enjoy cooler weather, possible rain, and more.

I enjoy these moments with you. Do you:
