Jeremiah 1:6-8 But I said, “Hold it, Master God! Look at me. I don’t know anything. I’m only a boy!” God told me, “Don’t say, ‘I’m only a boy.’ I’ll tell you where to go and you’ll go there. I’ll tell you what to say and you’ll say it. Don’t be afraid of a soul. I’ll be right there, looking after you.” God’s Decree.
I’m Shy
I tend to be shy about stepping out of my comfort zone. I hesitate to do anything new or different from everyone else.
But I am different. You, God, tell me to go places. Lord, You tell me to say things. You tell me to not be afraid of anyone or anything. And You tell me You love me. You say we are on an adventure.
I am Different
You tell me where to go, and You will help me get there. And You tell me what to say and then You help me open my mouth and say it at the right time.
You tell me not to say I’m only… I am not only a mother. Yes, I am not only a wife. I am not only a woman. And I am not only a middle-aged person. I am not only anything! I am a child of God. I am precious in Your eyes.
Don’t say “I’m only”. God is right here and He is looking after us. We can make a difference. Trust Him.
