Deuteronomy 3:21-22I commanded Joshua at that time, “You’ve seen with your own two eyes everything God, your God, has done to these two kings. God is going to do the same thing to all the kingdoms over there across the river where you’re headed. Don’t be afraid of them. God, your God—he’s fighting for you.”Today we don’t usually see God fighting for us against Kings or nations as he did for Joshua. The kingdoms that God fights for us are more in the spiritual realm. He fights for us in our own minds and in our own hearts. He fights for us against the principalities in the spiritual realm who are working against us and God.God is not at war with people. He is at war with sin, with darkness and with evil. But God fights for us so that we know he is there in our lives. We can see his working on our behalf. We can see attitudes towards us change because of God working in other people. God fights for us. He loves us.Lord, today help me to not be afraid. Give me the courage and strength I need to step into what you have for me today. Fill me with your love, your faith, and your kindness so that I can handle anything that comes.Help me to remember all that you have done for me. Help me to remember that you fight for me. You provide for me. And you will not ever leave me. Fill me again with your peace and your joy so that I can lift my head and walk into my day.
