Ephesians 1:11-12It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.Plans! God has plans. His plans for us are glorious.Lord, thank you for having plans for me. Even before I was born, before I heard of you and grasped your love for me, you had plans for me.Help me to listen to you today to find out what your plans are for this day. Let me find out who I am in Christ and what I am living this life to do.Forgive me for going my own way, for ignoring your loving voice. Forgive me for moving in this other direction when I know you want me to go this way.Let me be a part of the overall purpose you are working out in me and everything else. Let me be filled with your love and your joy. Give me the strength to step with you through this day.
