Lamentations 3:55-57“I called out your name, O God, called from the bottom of the pit. You listened when I called out, ‘Don’t shut your ears! Get me out of here! Save me!’You came close when I called out. You said, ‘It’s going to be all right.’Sometimes I feel like I am at the bottom of a pit. It is filled with to-do lists, dishes, laundry, dirty floors, renovation ideas, so much clutter and then work! The world feels like it is overwhelming me with the demands, the duties, and all the responsibilities. It’s nice to know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and cares enough to say to me, “It’s going to be all right.”Lord, today has been really hard. Life is pulling me down, down, down. I am finding it hard to move forward. I cry out to you Lord to help me. Save me.Show me how to do this. Show me how to live with these cares without it overwhelming me.And then there you are Lord, helping me, holding me tight. Your arms come around me making me feel safe. You brush my forehead and whisper to me that it is going to be all right.Your love fills me with the joy and peace that has been missing today. I can rest now, in you. I have hope again. Thank you.
