This week we continue through the 31 days of prayer with day 5. We are to pray that God’s people might be kept from the world.John 17: 11, 15-16 Holy Father, guard them as they pursue this life That you conferred as a gift through me, So they can be one heart and mind As we are one heart and mind. I’m not asking that you take them out of the world But that you guard them from the Evil One. They are no more defined by the world Than I am defined by the world. Make them holy—consecrated—with the truth; Your word is consecrating truth. We are to pray with confidence before God. He references 1 John 5:16.  I like how he puts it, In the quiet confidence of an obedient child, plead for those of your brethren who may be giving in to sin.Imagine if we prayed this prayer for those in the Sunday Night service, the staff and volunteers all over Mariner campuses, for those in our cities, the mayors, people in Sacramento and Washington, our police and in the corporations and wall street, in the banks. Imagine how God would work in their hearts and keep them from sin. Imagine a world full of praying, confident disciples living a life listening and following God.
