1 Peter 3:8-12Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions.No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing.Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful; Snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth.God looks on all this with approval, listening and responding well to what he’s asked; But he turns his back on those who do evil things.Did I “get up on the wrong side of the bed”? Did I not get enough sleep? Am I stressed? Am I in a hurry? Am I in pain?What is my job? It is my job to bless. It is not my job to retaliate. If it not my job to speak sharp-tongued sarcasm.Lord, please forgive me for letting small things get in the way of me being a blessing to you and to others.Help me be agreeable. Help me be sympathetic. Help me be loving. Help me be compassionate. Help me be humble. Let me be a blessing to others today.Help me embrace life and see the day fill up with good. Help me to cultivate good and run after peace.Fill me with your strength and your courage today. Help me to listen to you and do what you ask. Hold my hand and walk me through this day.
