1 Corinthians 2:3-5I was unsure of how to go about this, and felt totally inadequate—I was scared to death, if you want the truth of it—and so nothing I said could have impressed you or anyone else. But the Message came through anyway. God’s Spirit and God’s power did it, which made it clear that your life of faith is a response to God’s power, not to some fancy mental or emotional footwork by me or anyone else.Lord, I am unsure of how to move forward today. I feel totally inadequate. I am afraid of making mistakes and not doing what you ask of me.Forgive me for not trusting in you to help me. You have given me this vision and it will be your Spirit and your power that will do it. Give me the strength and courage to keep trusting in you and to keep moving forward.Keep me focused on you and your message. Don’t let me be distracted by wanting to impress anyone. Let your Message come through. Don’t let me concern myself with fancy mental or emotional footwork.Fill me with your peace and your joy. Fill me up with your gentleness and kindness. Let me see how you care for me. Hold my hand and lead me today.
