Being Thankful

How can it be that God knows so much about me?  He provides promises and encouragement I need before the need arises.  He sends people to talk about thankfulness even when things are going wrong.  Do I need to be thankful for the bad things happening?  No.  But I can be thankful to God for loving me and providing for me and for walking with me every day.  I can thank him for the things he has blessed me with today.Lord, thank you for my husband who loves you.  Thank you for his willingness to work hard and work long hours to provide for his family.  Thank you for my children.  Thank you that they have good health.   Thank you that they have jobs.  Thank you for my son-in-law.  Thank you for how you made him unique, compassionate and loving.Thank you for providing food and money to pay our bills.  Thank you for showing us ways to save more money.  Thank you for cars that have worked way past their time.  Thank you for the safety you give us every day on the streets and highways.Thank you for my cats.  Thank you for their health.  Thank you for their very different personalities and the small joys they give us.Thank you for my job.  Thank you for those with whom I work.  Thank you for the flexibility of my job.Thank you for my parents and for giving me so many years with them.  Thank you for the wisdom they share with me.  Thank you for my brothers and their wives and children.  Thank you that we can share so many parts of our lives with each other.  Thank you for the internet and how nice it is to be able to communicate with so many people so far away so easily. Most of all Lord, thank you for your love for me.  Thank you for making me unique.  Thank you for forgiving me of my sins.  Thank you for making a way for me to be close to you even though I do sin.  Thank you for bringing joy into my life today.1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens.
