How long should the article be?Research has shown a range from 250 words to 1000 words per article. Some websites want short articles and some websites want longer articles. Creating an article ranging from 400 to 800 words would make it appealing to a wide range of website publishers. More importantly, does the length of the article fit with the content of the article. Try not to compromise the integrity of the article by artificially fitting it to a prescribed number of words.What is a resource box?A resource box is the place where you can advertise your product, service or website. It is the place where you are allowed to put links that are not directly related to the content of the article.A resource box needs to contain your name, the address of your website, product or service, it needs to have your short tagline or elevator pitch, and most importantly, it should contain a call to action.   • Do use only original material
  • Do include the premise or promise of the article
  • Do make the introductory paragraph contain the summary of the article
  • Do make your points in the article, if you said 5 tips, make sure there are 5
  • Do have a brief conclusion to the article
  • Do make paragraphs short and use subheadings
  • Don’t sell within your article
  • Don’t add links in the article to your own sites
  • Don’t submit too many articles at once or per week
  • Don’t forget your name in the resource box
  • Don’t forget your hook and call to action in the resource box
  • Don’t load the title with keywords just to have keywords
