My dreams were filled with trying to fulfill my family’s needs. And they ended with my daughter making breakfast this morning. As I gradually woke and felt my dreams slipping away, I heard – “I have loved you with an everlasting love”. Good morning God. Monday doesn’t seem quite so bad now.So I looked up the verse and it is word for word from the NIV version. I spent most of my life reading that version so that is not so surprising. What is surprising is that he woke me up with this.In the Message translation, it says, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will.” And this brought to mind a song written by Tim Timmons, Never Will. “You’ll never abandon me. You never will”. So my word for this Monday morning is that God loves me. He’ll never abandon me. He never will. He’ll never quit loving me. He draws me with unfailing kindness. And he wants to say the same to you. Listen. Soak it in.Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying:“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!NEVER WILL Listen HereTim Timmons Oh God, You know all my ways And still Your love remains You thrill me Oh God the fact that I can sing And You’re still listening You thrill meYou’ll never abandon me You never will, You never willYou’ll never forsake me You never willYou’ll never disown me You never will, You never will break Your wordYou thrill me
