Revelation 2:29“Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”Can I hear God? How do I hear God’s voice? Listen to the wind words, the spirit blowing through the churches.For every one of the seven churches mentioned in Revelation, these words are at the end of each message to them. Listen to the wind words.When the wind blows, it is very irritating to some people. They don’t like the wind because it brings dry weather, or dirt flying, or is just irritating. But I like the wind.Wind is free. It blows. It blows my hair, my clothes, the book in my hand, the papers that are loose. It isn’t easy to deal with when I am trying to accomplish things outdoors. But if I stop for a minute. I close my eyes and feel the breeze on my face. It feels alive. It is like God caressing my face.God speaks to his children. I am listening.Lord, forgive me for being in such a hurry today. Give me time and space to stop for a moment to feel your presence in my life. I need things. I want things. There are cares and hurts in my life. People I love are in trouble or hurting. But for just this minute, let me feel you.Fill me with your loving joy and peace. Let me taste your gentleness and kindness. Let me understand your wisdom and knowledge. But mostly, let me bask in your presence, your holy peaceful presence.You are my God and you give me rest. Let me be with you today.
