Day 108 April 18 Psalm 147:1

Psalm 147:1-6Hallelujah! It’s a good thing to sing praise to our God; praise is beautiful, praise is fitting.God’s the one who rebuilds Jerusalem, who regathers Israel’s scattered exiles. He heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and assigns each a name. Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we’ll never comprehend what he knows and does. God puts the fallen on their feet again and pushes the wicked into the ditch.My grandmother wrote a scripture song. I remember waking up to her “appropriate” wake up music. “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto the God Most High.” I groaned as a teenager to know I needed to be up. But I smiled to myself. I loved to hear my grandmother sing and play the piano.It is a good thing to sing praise to God. It is beautiful and it is fitting for such a glorious God.He is rebuilding my life. He is gathering me to him every day. He heals my heart and puts bandages on my wounds. He has limitless strength that he shares with me.Lord, I praise you today. Thank you that I have the opportunity to praise you at home, in my car and at church.Forgive me of my sins and cleanse my heart. Focus me on the steps you need me to take today to rebuild my life. Hold me close to you all day long. Let me feel your arms around me.Let me feel your strength and your courage today and help me to step out boldly. I know your presence surrounds me.
