What's Next? Isaiah 30:21

Most years, I race to the end without considering my schedule or ability to perform. But this year, I feel particularly overwhelmed by what I should do, want to do, have said I’ll do, or am asked to do. What is my next thing?

For some years, God has given me scripture or a goal to guide me in the coming months. But this year, things are up in the air in my personal life.

I have so many reasons to be thankful. I thank the Lord God for answering my prayers. I thank Him for protecting and providing for my children as they stretch into new roles and seasons of life. I praise God that He has healed my mother after a serious fall, allowing her to remain independent in her home. Blessings surround me in healthy bodies, healing moments, and precious memories.

I am Thankful!

If my eyes wander from my blessings, the storm of decisions, chores, projects, and doctor visits looms around me. So I ask the Mighty Eternal God, what’s next? While the book starring Daisy from the Planted Flowers series is over half done, I can’t get into finishing it. What do I need?

I need more forgiveness in my life. The frustration I feel, and the helplessness I’m wallowing in are not good. My body needs healing, along with my relationships and my heart. And the Lord said, “Do more prayer guides. You hear My voice speaking to you when you work on those.”
